With over a decade of culinary expertise, Laura Martínez Páramo is a seasoned chef and educator specializing in traditional cuisines and modern culinary techniques. Currently a professor of Gastronomy at Tecnologic University since 2008, Laura has been instrumental in designing comprehensive learning strategies, subject portfolios, and participating in gastronomic events. Her passion for food has led her to work as a private chef at Punta Mita, delivering high-quality, personalized dining experiences.
Laura’s culinary journey began at the prestigious Ambrosía Culinary Center, where she honed her skills in Culinary Arts and Administration under the mentorship of renowned Chef Sergio Camacho. She has since been part of several large-scale events, including the Nascar series in Mexico City and elegant banquets at Chapultepec Castle. Laura’s dedication to the craft earned her a Master’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, with international professional experiences in Spain and Peru.
An innovator and leader in her field, Laura is the coordinator and author of Culinaria de Nayarit: Four Routes Around Corn (2022) and heads the Gastronomic Innovation academic body in Nayarit. She has also served as a judge for the prestigious Thierry Blouet Trophy culinary competition from 2016 to 2018.
Beyond her teaching and private chef work, Laura is passionate about creating meaningful culinary experiences that prioritize customer satisfaction and cultural enrichment. Whether through her role as a pizza trainer or first cook at Macarroni Restaurant in Mexico City, her culinary excellence has left a lasting impact.
